The very first Brachiosaurus fossil was found in the Grand River Valley of Western Colorado in 1900. It was an incomplete skeleton and it was later described and named by Elmer S. Riggs in 1903. Then, Werner Janensch found a whole bunch of Brachiosaurus fossils in Tanzania in 1909. Since then, more fossils have been found all over North America & Africa.
